TPS Legal

The TPS (Telecom Preference Service) register is a National database of people who have elected not to receive any kind of Telemarketing calls. The legislation requires all telemarketing companies to screen their data against this register before making calls. Failure to comply with this legislation could results in legal action being taken against your company and a fine per complaint. Because Systemcares Dataguard stores the entire TPS database, on its network, it makes your company easy to comply. Each time your call center or telesales team dials a number (either manually or via an automated dialler), Dataguard screens it automatically against the TPS database. If the call is prohibited, we send an automated message back to the agent to inform them. The system also stops the call from being processed. This gives piece of mind that whatever sources of data you are using, they will be immediately compliant.
