Network Services

Systemcare do not just offer line rental, we are able to provide a wide ranging number of services which include the following:

  • Call Diversion
Incoming calls can be automatically diverted to perhaps a mobile phone, a home line or to an answering service.
  • Call Barring
Individual phones can be barred from making certain types of calls to certain destinations e.g. no International, no mobile calls, only Local & National, internal calls only. 999 calls however will always be available.
  • Caller Line Identification
The caller's telephone number will be displayed when they call you (providing it hasn't been withheld). If their company name or contact details are stored in the memory of the phone or the PC address book, these details will be displayed also.
  • Messaging Services
SMS (short messaging service) already used widely using mobile phones, can be created and accessed via a PC. Ideal when field staff need to receive quick messages and management records of messages need to be reported on.
  • Non Geographic Numbers
A range of virtual numbers can be pointed to a standard business line, fax line home line or a DDI line. These range from 0800 freephone numbers, 0845 (for local rate calls), 0870 (for International calls) or premium lines (09***). All these numbers are ideal to track the success of marketing campaigns.
  • DDI Number Ranges
A DDI (direct dial inward) allows a caller to dial a phone user's extension phone directly, without the need to go through the operator. Ideal for out of hours if the main switchboard routes to voicemail.

Business Lines

Systemcare are able to install, support and bill our clients directly for the following types of business lines:

  • Analogue (PSTN)
An analogue line (PSTN: Private Switching Telephone Network) is the traditional method of most home lines and a good proportion of smaller business's. AN analogue line is still required to deliver a broadband / ADSL Internet connection.
  • Digital (ISDN2e & ISDN30e)
AN ISDN2e line provides two channel (2 x lines) and presents a faster connection and higher quality of speech. The ISDN30 is a larger version of this (30 channels - same as 30 separate lines) and can be installed in increments of 8, 15, 24 & 30). Both ISDN's offerings provide a range of DDI numbers (see DDI section) which overlay across all the channels (any DDI number can be routed via any of the ISDN channels).
  • Leased Lines / Private Circuits
A leased line (previously known as Kilostream or a Megastream) link two offices or destinations together. This is a permanent “always on line” traditionally used for transferring data securely. There is normally a fixed cost and a fixed contract for these circuits. Existing leased lines can now be utilised more to support voice calls between branches, thus removing external calls via the normal telephone network.
  • VoIP Trunks
VoIP trunks (or SIP trunks) is a new method to provide multiple phone lines via a broadband connection, which is only really restricted by the amount of bandwidth available. Although SIP trunks can be provided over a standard Internet connection which is ideal for home users, there may be some adjustment required on the existing router to deliver preference of voice quality data, over normal Internet downloads. For businesses, it is recommended to have a separate ADSL MAX connection to ensure QOS (quality of service) for voice calls. SIP trunks can also be connected to an existing telephone system (contact sales for more details).
